Bolderwood walks

Bolderwood is one of the most popular visitor spots in the New Forest – its shady pines and waymarked walking routes make for a perfect family day out.

Bolderwood is one of the most popular spots for visitors to the New Forest – and it’s easy to see why. With a large car park, facilities and picnic tables, it’s a great starting point for short family walks to really experience a flavour of the New Forest.

With a large car park, Bolderwood has facilities including toilets and information points. Although there is no food or drink outlets nearby, there are picnic tables in the pine trees beside the car park and an ice cream van is a regular fixture during the summer months.

There are several waymarked trails of varying distances.

Bolderwood car park is also a good starting point for walks in the woodland across the road – either from the Canadian Memorial car park a short distance along the road. The network of gravel trails can take you as far as Acres Down if you are looking for a longer distance walk.
